LS1 + 4l60e from wreck for about $4500 (or 6.0l if i can find one under $5500)
Marks adapter to Transfer case.($1175, OUCH). Any other options???
Advanced adapters have a kit for $793.50 US which would work out about the same as the Marks kit by the time i get it here I think?
I have the split case on the FJ45 4speed currently, which has the drum brake on the back, or I can use a Split case from a 89 HJ60. Are the the same case? Or is one better than the other?
Trasfer brake isnt really an issue as i can fit 60 series brakes to the back for a handbrake if i use the 60 series TC. (eventually i plan on fitting 60 series diffs front and rear)
Should I look for a different case altogether, 80 series for better ratio, but rare and $$$?
Custom engine mounts using stock LS1 rubbers. Have been told the marks ones are a waste of time. (Have seen some made by 2dextreme in members section that look the goods)
Exhaust I have a complete exhaust from an 09 Maloo ute which I hope to utilise. High flow cats etc etc, It is an LS3 but I hope the exhaust manifold bolts up. I may need new exhaust manifolds anyway as the chassis will be tight. Marks Block Hugger for $275? Will look at this more once the engine is mounted.
The wiring I will probably use one of Killalux's Looms since he goes highly recomended on these boards.
Will be using all the holden PS pump and altenator aswell as AC if it fits.
Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. Especially if it can save me some $$$
