lifting ARB bar

I have an ARB winch bar that I want to lift to suit by 50mm body lift.
Option 1
Cut the mounts off the bar and reweld and brace
Option 2
Cut the chassis, brace and lift 50mm removing the body lift blocks from the front.
What would be the best option?

option 2 if ur going to be keeping the car with the body lift ..

Option one because it's probably not legal to cut your chassis up, and because if you're going to cut one of two items, cut the cheaper one - the bullbar, not the car.
Just my thoughts. Both have advantages but I almost always prefer to do the work on the thing that attaches to the car, and leave the car as is.

Ive lifted a few, Do not touch chassis. Bar lifts easily.
Slice (grind(cut)) BBar chassis rails off level with back of bar. Add plate to cover cut off face dropping down 50mm extra. Butt chassis mounts up to plate, weld in place. Put gusset under between bar and mount and /or along inside rail mount to bar.
Do not lift full body lift amount take 5mm or so off as body flexes more and may hit bar wings.

Thanks guys. Sounds like the bar is not to difficult to lift so will prob take that path.
Cheesy, will come over for a "quick" chat anyway.
Let you know how it goes next week as I hope to get it done before the Narby night run on Saturday ( I know how steep the entries to the bog holes are ).

bundyrum4x4 , I,d go the chassis lift , can be engineered !!
improves approach angle heaps !!!
& if you ever damage your bar , you dont have to screw around modifing another bar , just bolt a NEWY on !!!!
