Okay people i went for a drive tonight with my headlights on low beam for about the first half hour then put my high beams on. high beams were on for about 5 mins then 1 light went out. now the funny thing is i only have high beams in the low beam position on the stalk, when i put the stalk in high beam the left light goes out. now when i turn the lights off the same light stays on, even when i turn the car off.... the left light goes out and stays out the right stays on all the time i had to disconect the battery.

whats the go
the car is a 92 GQ 4.2t deisel with no spottys or anything and just stock head lights

Mine did this a while ago but the spotties stayed on! It ended up being a faulty solenoid

If it's all stock check if there are any head lamp realays in the engine bay, normaly located in a fuse box with a plastic lid. These realays can fuse shut when they get old or get muck in them, happened to me once. When you flick from hi to low beam you should be able to hear the realay clicking with your bonnet open. If it's not clicking replace the realay.

Remove and clean your lights switch first.
It's common problem in Nissan cars
