diff ratios

have a two wheel drive lux, 88 mod petrol and i wast to put an lsd in it but have got no idea what ratio im running now or what will fit ? the comp plate says g52 g282 pls help with info

U should be able to slot the slippery hemi in the gears you have.

G52 is a 5 speed manual gearbox
G 28 2
G is 8" crown wheel 28 is 4.3 ratio 2 is 2 spider open center

What do u call the diff? The ctr of the whole lot? The diesel lowlux diff is also 4.3, later ones run LSD

Appartently there is a 4.1 ratio in the ifs models aswell. Dont know if that is with diesel or the 2.7 petrol motor though!

I have a factory LSD hemisphere in good nick that will fit, (no gears/case etc, carrier only) $200 negotiable - in Sydney.

most commonly found in hilux surfs, or the later L series engines. the lowest you can get is 3.7. but answer you question yes the 4x4 one will fit. Hiace are the same.
Beware when buying one, alot of the later ones "look" like a LSD but are only a closed 4 bolt open ctr.

As a matter of interest for all the ex perts there a 15 different ratios to suit the Hilux made by Toyota
Ratios from 3.08 through to 6.8 and I have either had or imported every one of them
