Outer Limits 4x4 Board

G,day all , the carbie on my old farm bush basher 2.8 Patrol is stuffed . I have got a Holden 186 carbi or a Nissan urvan 2liter carbi [those are the closest in engine size].Make an adapter plate and bolt one on ? Which one or any other ideas ?

186 carb is single throat,standard patrol (2.8)carb is dual throat
look for something of a 260/280z(carb)???
nissan 280c sedan
or some other nissan with the 2.8 ltr motor
then it should make life a bit easier
PS there is a bloke on evilbay selling the old 2.8 petrol carbs for about $44
