Hi all,
My fuel pump has died and I am getting the replacement today,
the question is, will I need to cut a hole in the floor or is there
already a hole there by 1991 ?
TIA

I'm pretty sure that by 1991 they had put the removable panel into the back.

Yeah, its somewhere in the middle. The following page has good info regarding the fuel pump and access:

It's just there to soak up the chardonnay spilt while mounting curbs.

I would say by the fact it's in the 'Rover' section and the heading is '1991 Range Rover Fuel pump - do I need to cut holes?' and yes range rover have carpet in them.....

Just FYI guys,
there was indeed a hole there, and the fuel pump was retained by a big
screw top jar style fitting. The thing was very tight and I needed
to use a piece of round blunt steel and a hammer to hit around the plastic rim of it to loosen the seal. As ususal make sure the battery terminal is disconnected so you can't accidentially spark the terminals
I will let you know how it goes with the new fuel pump, that will hopefully fix my fuel problem

Hi RR
I have sealing woes with an early disco fuel pump swap.
Be wary of the 'O" ring seal on the tank.It can be tricky to get right.
