Does anyone know if the subject diff centres can be swapped easily

Jep - GQ front is same as MK rear

gq front is a high pinon so i wouldnt think it would fit

Centres are same on MK H233B rear and GQ front (MK H233 is different) - ring and pinion are different but if You wanna You can use high pinion in rear axle
