Nissan GQ earily model.

For tapping it for Hydro assist you need to go into the working ports that go to the cylinder part, you see the line (bump which looks like an internal tube) running down the side of the box this is one of them. There are people on here that have done it for sure, I haven't so I don't really have more info just know about hydraulics...

Are these easy to rebuild? It's been out in the open for a few years and I think there was water in the inlet/outlets.

Should I rebuild it or just find another one?

I have put new seals in a D21 pathfinder steering box, I suspect they would be very similar

It wasnt particularly hard, i just layed it all out on the bench in the correct order.
the teflon (iirc) seals are a bit awkward. they strecth to go over, but they dont really 'shrink' back when they are in their groove.

have a look at the output shaft where the seal sits, if its scored it will need to be re-hardchromed or speedie sleeved.

I guess it depends on the price of another steering box
