Ever since I got my treg hitch the bolt that is welded to the hitch was looking a bit sus. Not welded properly so I kept an eye on it.
I was always swapping the treg to the ball as I only had one trailer hitch. I got hold of another hitch so I started to fit the treg hitch to its permanant home and as I tightened it the weld let go on the bolt.
I knocked the bolt out and whoever welded it needs his arse reamed.
There was maybe 4mm by 1mm of penetration around the whole bolt which would be about 30mm to 40mm in diameter.
I decided to fix it myself so I die grinded the hole out and the bolt down then migged it up. She aint coming loose ever again. Image is very poor but you should be able to tell that the bolt is no longer flush with the hitch.
