castor wedges help

I recently purchased some 2'' extended shackles for my leaf gq which has 2'' springs, what i haven't purchased yet is castor wedges. are they really needed? what degree should i get? thanx

As a general rule we recommend 3 degree , fit them only in the front and fat end forwards, this applies to sprung under or sprung over as long as the sprung under has shackles at the front and sprung over has the shackles behind.

I ran my old wagon without wedges for about two months seemingly without any issues, then it rained, and i ordered the wedges the following day. The front end just tramlined in the wet (on bitumen).

Yes definitely fit them, they are cheap and worth it.
