I've been invited to join a team for the Nissian trials this year and would love some advice from guys who have competed in it already.

Do I need things like roll cages, engineering certificate etc.

Jeeps have never had a good record at Nissan Trials unlike Woodpecker

Give Suburban a call they have prepared more Jeeps for nissan trials than most. Think about water proofing engine vitals as that mud can be pretty deep

I would be surpised if you wont need an engineer cert in the past you always have.

In the past they have been pretty pushy on flares covering the whole width of the tyre

tyres 100% covered and they mean 100%
engineers if major mods
rego and insurance papers
your`s and your navi`s lic
2 snatch straps
rated D shackels (can`t remeber the size or the rating needed)
fire extingiser (spelling?) size? I can`t remember but I think its 1.5kgs.
front and rear recovery points painted red.
Can`t think of what else off the top of my head.
So far you haven`t needed helmets but I wouldn`t be surprised if you do this year.

They have added window nets and helmets for all drivers and navigators this year, (hard top and soft top vehicles).
