It will all bolt in and work fine .... but ... with it in the rear you will be driving forward on the weaker side of the C&P gears so will not be as strong.

Diff lock will fit but crown and pinion won't. 80 series have 4.1:1 and 105 series have 4.3:1.
I have a high pinion in the front of mine but wouldn't put one in the rear.

Willy, are you saying that getting the matching ratio's is an issue or that they physically won't fit into the housing cause the ridge in the housing for crown wheel clearance is in the wrong place

Ive been thinking about this as well to get more clearance under the tailshaft. Works on GQ', but is there no way to get this working in a HiLux?

Just saying that you can't put a low pinion crown and pinion in a high pinion centre.

My bad, though he was going to bolt in a complete centre

Might be the hard way to do things, but would it be a viable alternative to cut all the mounts off the axle housing, and flip it so the pinion is sitting high?
Obviously there will be issues with the filler and dain plugs, but could this work? I'm getting sick of breaking tail shafts!

The front will go forward and the rear will go in reverse. Will Fu*> ya transfer pretty quick. So no, that won't work.

i fitted a high pinion ctr to the rear of my hilux as i was having the same probs breaking unis
fitted the airlocker and it is all good have to use the right bearings to suit the locker of course as the high pinions are different to lsd hemis
was running 35"tyres and never had it breakdid about 45thousand kms with it and never had any more dramas with unis and ctr bearings
