My GQ diesel 4.2 only has 260,000 k's on it and my oil pressure is HIGH, it is blowing oil up through the breather and out the arse.
Rings?
Bearings?
Is this normal being that i have just put a turbo on and the air out here is always thick with dust?
The under bonnet temperature is huge because the days average mid to high 40's, spose this wouldn't help either.
The car started life as an auto so would the change in workload contribute?

if it is a little pressure coming out the hose then fine, if it is a lot, check your breather isnt plumbed to the high pressure or low pressure sides, this is common when supercharging.
can cause either suction or additional pressure, doesnt sound too bad, cause normally they blow all the seals if they are too pressurised....
260k will be alright!

The wife has gone out in it at the moment so i will check it when she gets home. We have had no problems until the last 1500km, where it has used 4lt of oil. The turbo has been on for about 15000km.
The pressure comming out of the breather into the air cleaner is not what i would call excessive but that is where the oil is clearly going.
I'm only going off the engines we run at work(32litre v12) but they allways blow some smoke and oil out of the breathers even from brand new.

If its not blowing great clouds of "BLUE" smoke when you jump on the gas..doesn't sound like the rings are gone
I'm not to sure if i'd be right in saying this...but your rings sound fine
It might have worn valve stem guides tho..
if the guides are worn turbo pressure goes past them and can presurise the sump area..
Also if the engine has broken top rings it may bypass and pressurise the sump again...If the engine has lived for 260 kilcks and then dies after a turbo fittment...i'd be asking what where the diesel pump timing settings and what the boost is up to now
But if your starting to use 4 liters of oil...MY GOD MAN>>>SEE A DOCTOR !

I'm only running 9lb boost.
The pump timing has not been done yet and when you give it a boot full it doesn't blow all that much smoke.
I was giving it some thought today and the problem only really seems to have started with my last oil change, so i was thinking maybe oil filters?
I changed the oil yesterday but that didn't help.
Next time i get to civilisation i'll get new filters and a different oil.

run your breather through a puke can filled with stainless swarf , oil will separate from gas . make sure u plumb the breather back to engine and seal the puke can. u used to be able to buy this as a kit. also try and get your engine flushed u might have sticky oil preesure relief valves

Who would i see about having the engine flushed?
Could i buy somethinig to flush the oil system at home?
I have pulled the relief valve off and cleaned it and also oil lines fron the turbo, vacume pump and pressure sender and blown compressed air in all.
It helped for about 20 km but that was about it.
