Pedders Trak Ryder shocks - anyone used them, would recommend them or use another brand?
I believe they're about $140 each.

this is only my personal opinion.
I have owned pedders shocks and found them to be about the worst shocks money can buy, I broke/blew them all within the warranty period, and again shortly after. they are trash. stay away. there are far better shocks you can buy for about the same $.
if you don't want adjustables, Old Man Emu are hard to go past.

OME are great - it depends on how heavy your rig is too, in the front end of a range rover for example they tend to be a bit hard but on a cruiser or patrol they would be spot on, I run munroe 80 series gas shocks on my rangie and they are cheap, long and have a good feel.
I would choose the munroes over pedders, they are cheaper and if you are putting serious Ks on your rig and you wheel reguarly they shocks won't last a long time (2 years max I reckon for a heavy rig) so get a shock you can throw away after 2 year and not feel r@ped by the price tag.

two words....
... TOUGH DOG!
try out the tough dog shocks, i have a mate with a GQ, fitted with only tough dog gear. not sure on exact specs though, but he loves them.
shocks all round, and steering damper/stabilizer.
he says for around $150 you can pick up some 4-way adjustable shocks, and 9-way adjustables for about $230.
he tells me that Opposite lock are the ones to see and do a pretty good job of it.
have a look into it.

"CRS Gas shocks are a 35mm bore and piston with speed sensitive valving, reinforced mounts and long travel design"
Now for the question, as a cheap shock, what are they like? Anyone had anyting to do with them?
