old warn winch parts where to buy old motor?

hi there i have big old warn winch off of my landcruiser ute i would like to know if i could fit the newer 6hp motor to this? are the splines the same will i have to tap the winch housing if the bolt pattern is different? help would be great!

The model of the winch would be a bit more helpful.
However, if the motor drive is splined then a 6hp should fit. If it has a keyway you will need a new drive gear.
If it's a highmount (motor above the winch drum) then the bolt pattern will be the same regardless.
If it's a really really early low mount that's as rare as hens teethand no-body has one, then it may be different.

I have an old warn magnum, I found when fitting a newer high mount motor I had to drill deeper the hole in the centre of the motor spline

It is simple if it is an old highmount. You just need to purchase the splined cog to replace the key way when you buy your new motor. Contact Ateco. They will be able to sort you out.

if it is a high mount and has a freespool lever on the top hat ( some of the old ones dont have a freespool lever )you can change to the 6hp motor providing it is a splined motor if noy as the boys have said just buy the gear as well it is about $40 and then no probs
