rabs....

I was thinking of this a little while ago and did some research on trying to 'stream line' the shotty UK wiring... the only thing you could do without replacing ECU etc is re wire with higher gauge wires and re route a few fings... the Lucas ECU's are considered very stupid in the way of injector firing and tune ability. They also are a ‘fuel only’ ECU and have no control of the ignition times and spark charge time….

I have very recently upgraded my Rangie with a Wolf 3D…. some after market ECU’s control EVERYTHING, IGN, Fuel and Air/com stepper motor etc

I am very impressed with the outcome of replacing my Rangie in respect to fuel economy and power/ torque!!! (will post Dyno chart when I get them)

fuel economy so far (have been flooring it a lot) just under 400K's out of full tank (same tank used for Dyno tuning) filled up last night so i'll will report back as i know what happening

also it had 88kw @ the rear wheels and can't remember the rest but a HUGE difference in drivability then the std comp (also have different cam)

Gday Mick,

What motor do you have in your rover and how many litres is the petrol tank?

std 3.9 with biggest Dynatech cam i could find for it and the heads have been setup for a 4.6

tank size is 85l

i have done 108k and still hasn't moved of 1/4 yet..... also towed trailer full of SH!T to tip can and trailer weighed in at 4.7 tone (single axle trailer) so what i am trying to say is it was heavy and i really didn't feel it behine me and did about 70k with today... so i am still very impressed!!
