Hi all,
My 2002 SWB Mitsubishi Shogun starts and runs fine but as soon as I put the auto into drive or reverse the engine management light comes on and she goes into 'safe mode'.
I've cleaned the micro filters as this engine seems prone to blocking them, but now I am stumped.
Anyone any ideas? Any advice very gratefully received.

Trasmission control unit not functioning?
Bad connections/bad sensors/something wrong with transmission?
Get under and have a look around.
Generally the TCU would have an output to tell the ECU that it isn't happy and needs attention (via check engine light).
