needed to know what the difference between a injected 302 windsor flywheel and a carbyed 351 cevland flywheel is
and is it ok to run the clevo wheel on the windsor engine ?
stud pattern are the same , but the windsor flywheel has its counter weight close to the center of the flywheel ,where the clevo runs its counter weight close to the ring gear
does anyone know if there is a difference / is it ok to run them
cheers plowy

There is a difference in the diameter and the number of teeth on the ring gear 157 vs 164 goes with the size of the bellhousing and starter location.
If you are fitting the windsor where the clevo was then it should be fine to the clevo flywheel. Pretty sure they are both 28oz counterweight external balanced engines. Counterwieght location is not really an issue they should both be balanced the same.

NO
A 5.0 efi engine uses a 50oz balance flywheel whereas the early 302/351W and 351C use a 28oz balance.
The 351C also uses a 164 tooth flywheel and the 5.0 is 157 tooth so depending on your bell the starter could also be an issue.

It would be the efi 302 windsor out of a xr8 auto and have access to a clevo flywheel starter and adaptor kit as too run a manual
was just worried that the combonation may not suit was the problem as in bad vibration or some other problem/fault
thanks for the info so far

If you run the clevo fly wheel on the windsor you get a realy bad vibration at low revs you need a 50oz counter wait.

Try and track down a F150 EFI 302 windsor manuel flywheel and starter motor. There is a F truck wreckers at Clontarf Qld.
