What's easiest TB42 aftermarket efi distributer pickup setup

yes have had reasonable search prior to post...
looking to change carby to efi with later plans of forced fedness.
got tb42 efi inlet manifold and tons of vl rb30 gear lying around and also 3.8 v6 car.
don't want gas or maf, rules out nistune for rb30 setup therefore could use kalmaker delco or microtech..
What have ppl used for distributer pickup (dont want mud unfriendly crank pickup)?
can delco run single coil?
What is common intank high pressure pump? 3.8l v6?

Hi Brett,
I have recently done the efi conversion, so i'll let you know how i went about it.
For the distributor pickup I used a pertronix ignitor (was already fitted when i bought the car) with mechanical and vacuum advance locked in the dizzy. I am unure if this will work with kalmaker? But should be fine with the microtech.
Alternatively i believe a dizzy of the efi tb42 has an optical pickup, and should bolt straight in.
Bear in mind that the timing will not be as accurate taken from a dizzy sensor vs a crank sensor as a dizzy will usually have some play in the gear drive and only turns 180 degrees per engine rotation.
I originally used the original coil and dizzy setup with the coil fired by the ecu, however i am in the process of changing to a 3 coil wasted spark setup using a 36-1 crank trigger wheel.
Ps. i am using a megasquirt ecu as it has ignition table switching which is ideal for my dual fuel setup, (and turbo conversion).

ah cool the dirty ol pertronix, i do have a ignitor 2 but it has variable dwell which would prob dick with ecu timings..
the delco setup (all 3.8 v6 and 5l v8 dunnydores) can easily have dual tables but for crank angle uses a proximity sensor on crank and am unsure whether you can replicate it easily within dizzy and also normally runs the dual coil wasted spark setup, not a direct ecu timing sensor.
might just be easier to run microtech and get rid of majority of sensors and hassle spose only money and worse time...
