the depth maybe the issue.... if like the GQ ones, they are very very shallow. very limiting on styles.

and shit!!!

if your mirrors are manual: anything 6'' will be fine.

if youve got electric mirrors: as the boys said, you need really shallow speakers. 20mm if i remember correctly, from face to back of magnet. the stupid rail for the window runs right behind it!

good luck getting anything good in there with out completley making custom trims!

i bought 6.5's and used the speaker grate on the door trim as packing.
doesnt look tooo bad. doesnt look great at the same time. depends how neatly you fit the speaker cover up against the window winder shelf.

What do power mirrors have to do with installing speakers that are in the bottom of the door.

Electric mirror doors have a different window glass and the front runner comes down behind the speaker.

JBL 6.5" 640gte fit in my GQ. Big diameter low profile magnets too so I made 20mm thick mdf spacers for better clearance through the factory hole. Didnt want to cut

What he said.
Fronts are 6.5" on a GQ and are very shallow on my car, which has electric windows and manual mirrors.
I used 20mm MDF spacers moved backwards ~5mm, and they /just/ fit under the stock combined armrest/speaker-grille if you trim some of the hardboard away carefully.
I went with JL Audio coaxials and sealed all the access panels and holes in the doors with Dynamat, and they're pretty good, run off an amp.

Alex.
