i've recently installed a front diff that came with cromo axels and cv's, now these have a thicker diamiter than standard ones so, different axel seals were installed to suit. this was done friday arvo

now went 4wdin on sater day arvo, got home, and when i woke up sunday morning alot of oil had droped out through the knuckle seals.
now i'm guesing when 4wd was ingadged the axel seals spun out of the spot.

is this comon with chromo's and is there a solution , short of glueing the axel seals in?

What brand of cromo are they? My double toughs neck down where the seal is so the stock seals are reused, it sounds like yours do the same and so with the bigger seals on it isnt sealing properly.

Mine use the standard seals as above. Agreed, bigger seal could be the problem

i think there trail tuff or trial gear axels and cv;s . the actual diamiter appears thicker. 26mm.

They are thicker in the axle, however they are the same width were the seal is. I had it wrong the stock axle steps out where the seal is, were the cromos are the same width all along the shaft. See the pic below courtisy of Zookimal, and the bottom one is my old stock axle.
