Patrol front locker problem

I have got a 99 GU Patrol Wagon and have been having some proms getting drive to the front wheels.
with the front end off the ground everything works as it should i.e
locker out and spin one wheel then only tailshaft smpis
locker in then both wheels spin together
put one wheel on the ground then the other wheel will only spin with the locker out.
now if i drive it and spin the wheels with lockers on the front right (short side) doesnt spin.
i have swapped the hubs over and the problem stays on the right side
any ideas??

Could be a couple of things - broken axle - CV?
Cheers

I agree with DNA.
You could have either cv or axle broken , maybe axle spline is striped and they are "catching " with with the wheels in the air with no real load you would not see any problem but with the load on the vehicle they spin because It is broken.
If that makes sense

maybe the hubs aren't lined up properly had a similar thing happen a few years back ended up being I didn't put the locking hub in properly so whe it had load on it it wasn't locking the axle in yet when I jacked it up both wheels appeared to have drive

are you still using the factory auto hubs? they are known for causing probs like you have described.

When you have one wheel in the air with locker engaged, put in 2wd and chock one wheel.
You shoulndt be able to turn the other wheel.
Release locker to freewheel.

my locker did the same thing and was repaired under warranty! I know of at least 1 other patrol that has done the same thing!
it happens to the new style ARB for the patrols

Now I'm scared. Just put an RD136 on mine and I kept hearing some kind of deep grinding noise as i drove on. Disengaged de 4wd and put it back on and it stopped. Sound familiar?
BTW my manual AVM hub broke on that same trip...

ive now had the locker out and had it rebuilt and all was looking good.
i asked ARB about the problem and they said low air pressure.
ive put my pressure guage on the line at the diff and its gone off the scale on my 60Psi dial guage.(should be 100Psi).
ive inspected the cv and couldnt find any damage , i also tried knocking the axle out of the cv to see if it was loose in the cv and it didnt budge.
i just put a known working set of hubs on the car including the gears inside the FWH and still had the same problem.
this is now starting to piss me off as i still cant find the problem and have had the front end stripped too many times now.

I have now jacked the car up ONCE again!
still doing the same thing , have now swapped solenoids front to rear.
with the locker out and only the front right wheel off the ground and hubs locked in the wheel spins freely.
with the locker engaged the wheel locks up (has about 1/8th of a turn) if you rock the wheel back and forth it will make a click which sounds almost like an auto locker "clicking" or the hub slipping and will go past the point of being locked and then re-lock again
it is still definatley not 100% locking

still sounds just like mine did arb pull the locker apart or just look at it
