Hi .. i have just purchased a 92 seirra soft top ... it has 31 inch tyres .. rear lock-rite locker .. 1 inch body lift ... 2 inch springs with leafs taken out for extra travel .. extended shackles and a RTC steerlng damper ... on the road it wanders a bit ... would these mods cause this or should i be looking at other problems.. any information would be appreciated ... cheers

to be honest its most likely the 31s... you've got a car with the aerodynamics of a loaf of bread and holding it up is 7.5" of rubber at most likely a low-ish PSI...

Extended shackles - If you have fitted longer shackles to the front your caster will be out. This causes wandering and lack of wheel centering. You need to either rotate the knuckles or fit caster wedges. The 31's wont be helping either.

Layto....

thats a suzuki factory standard... it feels like it has play in it, but the wheels are infact moving - check it out.

Id start by gettin a pedders check done and get their print out. this way you could check the readings against what they supossed to be.

Mine wandered a bit so i adjusted the toe in and fitted a better steering box and a bigger damper. It helped a bit but the play in the ball joints in the steering arms are causing some scary ammounts of wheel movements to get around corners.

New steering arms for a WT sierra from Suziworld are only $250.

Money well spent considering most these cars are about 20years old and still using original factory arms.
