hi all will running 33x15.5x15 on my 40 series cause any problems? it is lifted but i am unsure of if it can handle them? i currently have 33x12.5x15
i dont have power steering on my rig.. i like the feeling of non power steering, i have 33's by 12.5 should i just go 35x 12.5s?MrGrim wrote:this all depends on suspention set up and rim size and steering
it will cause you lots of dramas
i run 35 13.5 15 on 15x10 rims on a fj40 and its a lot of work to get them sorted also with out desent power steering it will be a wrestle to steer it
ya i think ill stick with 33x12.5 sits tall sits wide not to wide and looks good, cheers. if any of you fellas ever wanted those wheels tho they were micky thompson mtz brand new never user 33x15.5x15 for $200 each, bloody amazing deal. just pm me.v840 wrote:More pressure on wheel bearings etc. Will probably have to change your offset and possibly go to a wider rim too.
IMO not worth it in the slightest. Too much work for any tangible advantage and arguably a disadvantage depending on what you wheel. That is only an opinion though. I'd just go 35x12.5s.
naa i have seen the pictures of them they are brand new from bob jane i know a guy who gets them for cheap as. thats the only reason i wanted them.berad wrote:They could be cheap for a reason
What do you want 33x15.5 tyres for out of curiosity
ya true i am guessing these would be eligal in QLD even with extended guards any way, may be thats why no one wants.. i might even buy them and flog them off on ebay make some coin .berad wrote:I was meaning they might be cheap because they bought a few sets and noone wants them, so there flogging them off for cost etc.

i used to have 35x13.5s on my 40 they looked very tidy! standard diffs no problems.
cant really compare it to now, as i have 80 diffs so its wider to begin with. but the 42x15.5s dont look too shabby.
p.s your a sicko if you like armstrong steering. its the devil!
If you are worried about running legal tyres, you should probably check if 35x12.5 are legal, as they are most probably not legal in Qld anyway.4x4joel4x4 wrote:i think i will just stick with 35x12.5 for now just to stay on the save side, also for legal reasons, how much did it cost you to swap to 80's diffs?
That as well as your extended shackles you mentioned earlier are also not legal.SimonInAustralia wrote:If you are worried about running legal tyres, you should probably check if 35x12.5 are legal, as they are most probably not legal in Qld anyway.4x4joel4x4 wrote:i think i will just stick with 35x12.5 for now just to stay on the save side, also for legal reasons, how much did it cost you to swap to 80's diffs?
