Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Ok, I recently bought a GU II 2001 4.5 st Patrol

Simple, except that now now ive gone to buy some thing there is some confusion if it is a GUI or GU II. The complience plate says 04/2001 but i found a "Built plate" on the car which says 05/2000.

Who can tell me when the change from I to II was made and what were the differences were. I rang nissan and they not very helpful about it.

Mate , mines a "Build date " March 2000 , and Complance plate says 09/2000 and it's a GU II , I think it was just little cosmetic things like grill and interior that changed between the GU I & II , the guru's on here would be able to tell us more
