I have tried to search but found hard to do my son has just brought Hilux dual cab 2001 and wants to fit 20inch rims and tyres I think they are the same size as 33inch it has to get raised to fit these what is the best solution for the suspension as I am not keen on a body lift???

You shouldnt need to lift it depending on the tyres you choose, 20's with say 50 profile only stand as high as a 24inch tyre........ your going to pay lots to get load rated tyres though....

Or are you saying hes fitting 33inch rubber to the 20inch rim?, if so slap him upside the head :P, you would need around 2inch to clear the firewall, and when the suspension tops/bottoms out it would still scrub, wind the torsion bars right up, that will give close to 2inchs, put some 2inch lift blocks in the back, or add cut off load leaves around 150mm long to the rear pack and bolt the pack back together and buy new ubolts and cut off at the desired length.
