Outer Limits 4x4 Board

quick question my diff gears are 40 teeh on crown wheel and 8 on the pnion, is this 4.8's how do work it out? cheers

are you sure it is 40 on the crown not 39? as 40 crown and 8 pinion is 5:1 ratio, 40 divided by 8 = 5
