Nankang Mudstars 315/75/R16 (cheapest 35's ??)

Post by raptorthumper »

---> If anyone wants cheap 35" play tyres in Melbourne.

Tyre professionals in Sunshine have Nankang Mudstars 315/75/R16 for $230 ea fitted & balanced. That has to be the cheapest 35 inch tyres on 16" rims around, doesn't it.?

That seems like a great price for 35's, these tyres are good too, they are exactly the same as the maxxis buckshot tyres and I mean exactly, I have a set of each and have inspected both with a fine tooth comb and the only difference I can find is in the sidewall print.

I am looking for a new set of tyres & these look like they would fit the bill nicely, apart from the fact that I will have to get a set of 16x8 rims, I don't think they will fit on 16x7s?

Just for interest sake, I have been running a set of these mudstars in 33x12.5x15 for 50,000 kays over the last 15 months, I run them on the ute I use for work which weighs in at 2700kg tooled up, plus they do actually get used offroad and have their battle scars to proove it, and they are now down to 9mm tread, which I can't complain with at all as they cost me $173 per tyre, and they go everywhere that my 33" mtz's go, and they balance up much better than my 33" bfg's.

Thats a bloddy good price!

Might give em a ring about rims and see if there cheap with them to.... nice and close to home to! could buy them for road tyres...nearly cheaper then a decent set of 33" muds! the treckors would only get a work out once in a blue moon though.......

and on the 37's........i'll take a set and spend the money on my diff ratios at that price!

not bad traction but the size is shit. i've got 33x12.5 and they measure up to a 31inch on a tape measure. not sure what the 35s are. good daily tyres but thats about it

Just the other day I was quoted $290 for MTZ 31's, am I being ripped off here? I'm guessing that you could get 31's for me for about $50 each?
