Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Ok heres a question lads.....Do you rotate all 5 tyres or just the 4?
The TJ swaps tyres often enough its' not a concern....BUT on the XJ I want to rotate all 5, but the manual just lists 4......
So what sequence???

I grabbed this off the net. I rotate all 5 of mine to give then an even wear.

5 Tyre Rotation
If the vehicle owner has a regular tyre as a spare tyre and wishes to include it in the tyre rotation process, the proper procedure is to use the appropriate rotation pattern shown for 4 Tyre Rotation, BUT insert the spare in the right rear position. Place the tyre which would have gone to the right rear in the trunk as the new spare. Note: Never include a temporary spare tyre in the rotation. Note: Unidirectional tread patterns must be rotated front-to-rear only so the direction of the revolution does not change.

Seeing my tyres are directional I just swap front to back.

Thise pics put up look like the goods though, this is the way I do it .

Spare to passenger front.
Passenger front to drivers rear.
Drivers rear to driver front.
Drivers front to passenger rear.
Passenger rear to Spare.

I need to rotate mine badly. But 4x 33's on steel rims with one lousy bottle jack and no air tools makes it slow slow work.

i've seen one of those 12v stud removers before... anyone seen them in action?
suppose you have to start it off and it does the rest?

Thor, seen them work, and they go well, cordless, handy and quick, granted nothing on a air tool but they go well, for a decent one. One of the members of the Logan club has one and he swears by it.

well down here most of my mates we buy 5 tyres, rotate 4 when the 4 worn out buy 3 new ones add the spare and throw a worn one on as a spare... not an ideal situation for everyone ...around here people change tyres sizes and types for this to work well
