Bigger Valves for Inflating Tyres

Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has replaced their standard tyre valves for a larger valve (i.e. Nitto 1/4") to allow faster tyre inflation?
If yes - what setup (fittings / meter / pressure valve) did you use?
Thanks,
Greg

will help greater in deflation also.
what pump are u going to use?

The only high flow valves I've seen have been things like drain cocks welded in to get the air out faster, not in.
You need to experiment with different valve cores or not doing yours up so tight after you've deflated to prevent the cycling you are seeing at the moment. Inflation times won't be seriously affected by the size of the valve considering your compressor only flows 6 cfm. If you had a large tank - cool, (which is why you remove cores for reseating beads) but once the tank is at tyre pressure, you're back to 6 CFM and you don't need big vlaves to flow that.

truck tyre fitters just unscrew the valve then screw on a fitting to where the valve cap goes then simply clip on the air hose. allows full flow from a compressor. They over inflate then remove fitting and quickly screw in valve.
works a treat.
