Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi to all ,
I have changed ranks from Rover to a 2000 GU 4.2TD ST and have never been happier !
I fitted up Kings 50mm over linier fronts and progressive rears with long travel Koni shocks and find this a good set up for the touring that i will be doing , but a mate is on his way up to Opp Lock tomorrow to have a look at the Tuff Dog set up . He has been told that this set up will be the ideal for the more serious side of Off Roading lifting his rig 70mm and better shocks , Ralph , fitted up for the princly sum of $1700 .
Since he doesn't have a computer i was asked to see if anyone can shed some wisdom on the Tuff Dog set up and it's capabilities and or weaknesses ,

hey...i have the tuff dog ralphs on my 91 mav shorty..its lifted with 4 inch kings coils and 1 inch coil spacers. i run with no sway bars. these shocks are definately the most heavy duty ive come across, a bit overkill even on the swb. they are set on the 3rd adjustment out of 9 on the street and the shorty handles the same or even better than before the lift. they are a bit expensive, but worth it, as they are 2 yr warrantied and just so big ud be hard pushed to hurt them. in my car i find them a little hard even on 3, but the guys here at 4way are gunna revalve them when i get around to taking them out of the truck. they are fine for a long wheel base as they are but due to less weight of the shorty need slight softening. u need to do a bit of trimming to fit them as they are so big..rear passenger bump stop plate and possibly a little around the shock towers at the front. overall they are worth the money..u will be more than happy if u want a heavy duty set up..cheers

Thanx viper , he went up to Balcatta today and forked out the $$$$ and then some more ! He brought front and rear Detriot lockers and a twin tounge air comp , but hey he works away in the mines he has the cash - read jealous as hell - .
