Hey all,
I've tried searching (the OL search feature sucks of late) with no avail...
Does anyone know how to remove the doors on a 1978 BJ40 Cruiser?
I can see there is a pin that goes through the hinge, but I couldn't remove it with a small amount of force.
Do I need a FBH to get this pin to budge, or is there a trick to it?

4 bolts hold the second part of the hinge, inside the pillar, undo it there and remove pins on the bench. Lots of lube and drive it with a brass drift, as they are easy to damage

are you trying to swap doors or go doorless? Just unbolt the hinges from the door? even if you are trying to go doorless remove the doors first to get better access to the pins, lube it up as BJ said when you go to put it back together... 2nd time round they should come out easy.

I've never dismantled the actual hinge before. You can either remove the door by removing the 3 bolts connecting the hinge to the door or there are another 3 bolts connecting the hinge to the body. These are difficult to access but are there and can be removed. I would refrain from removing that pin...

Got the doors off - just needed a little more oomph with a FBH to remove those pins. Thanks to all for the help
