Well its time to get the POS done.
Its fitted up with the import 1.6ltr with the carby type air cleaner on top which somehow needs to be hooked up to a snorkel. Soon enough the turbo will find its way back on making this redundant.
What air boxes are people using that fit the following requirements:
1. Fit on the passengers side
2. Round inlet and outlets
3. don't take up a whole lot of room. My coilovers and hoops, turbo and guard chop don't leave much space.
Some pics would be appreciated if you have them handy.
Cheers Guys

I've seen some guys use the 1.0lt air boxes, these can be positioned better then the standard ones.

If he's not interested in pics I am!!
Ive a got a turbo gti set up and the pod just doesn't cut it in sand water and mud. I'd like an airbox on the passengers guard that I can plumb out to a snorkel on the passenger side. Ive got a gti airbox I was going to use but if there's a better option Id love to know about it.....
Sorry for hi-jacking your thread!!

This is what i did with mine. You could adapt it for passenger side if needed. Unfortunately i dont know what it came out of, i just found it sitting there in wreckers and grabbed it. I think its out of some jap car from memory. Anyway it was perfect, as it was all steel so i could weld on pipe to get proper angles and sizes, plus it takes commodore filter panels so nice n cheap.

Depending upon how much space you have on the guard a HiAce steel airbox may suit, it's what I have used.

here is one i'm doing at the moment and i wanted to keep the 1.3 airbox on the drivers side...(too much stuff on pass side currently). i'm just waiting on the alloy pipe to be bent and then i will machine the hole and tig it up.

Cheers guys.
Joe - looks pretty good mate. Very fancy.
PJ - looks like what I need. Sitting that flat it should squeese between whats left of the inner guard and the bonnet.

I used a GQ patrol pre cleaner air box and modified it a little
still has good bonnet clearance

MK 1 Swift GTi box Very compact and flows nicely with a little modding to the inside (you'll see where if you look at one).
Outlet comes out to the left towards the front of the box when looking in that pic. Inlet and outlet are both round and about 2.5-3" diameter.

Wrong side, but could be helpful
I used 1.o litre air box because fitted easier.
