Dicky fuel gauge - How many km to expect from a tank?

Post by mike_nofx »

Hey all, as you may already know from the 20 other posts i have made, i have just bought a 4.2 carbi patrol.

Anyway, the fuel gauge doesnt work properly. I completely filled the tank when i first got it and it only showed half way on the gauge.

have now done only 200km and the gauge shows empty. Is it actually empty, or should i get a lot more km out of the tankful?

What size is the tank in these?

Is it common for the fuel gauge to play up, and is it just a case of replacing the fuel sender?

Thanks

Filled up at 225km.
Put in 46 litres.

So roughly 20L/100km. As expected.

And am i right in saying all GQ LWB's had 90L tanks?
