Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Could it b the injection pump control motor? Could there b a fuse causing the problem? The pump control motor keeps ticking over causing the engine to cut off then fire back up. Does anybody out there no whats happening? cheers.

my first 24v mq wouldnt turn off properly either
the problem was there wasnt 24v power to turn it of
so we had to stall to stop
i fixed the problem with 2 new batteries
never played up after that

cbf typing it again, but have a look at what i typed here, sounds similar, maybe the contacts and plugs ont he control unit could use a clean?
Sounds like it has power if its turning over the little motor.

I assume this is an SD33??

Commen problem on both this engine and the 4 cyl version the fuel shut off solinoid shits it self and the easiest fix is to fit a manual lever to cut the fuel. A bonnet release cord or similar is normally used.

Had a shoelace tied from the injector pump lever thru to the radio ariel bracket on the A pillar once, want to stop the car just reach out the window and pull the string Was pretty easy to pull the solenoid apart and clean the contacts - worked after that fine!

last time I had this problem was a couple of french back packers POS that I felt sorry for.

Just put a switch in the power to your coil. Flick the switch and with no spark, engine can't run. Also made for a handy immobiliser.

That is assuming it's a petrol one.

No its a turbo sd33t. How do i tell if its a 24 volt or a 12 volt? its a 84'?
