Could it b the injection pump control motor? Could there b a fuse causing the problem? The pump control motor keeps ticking over causing the engine to cut off then fire back up. Does anybody out there no whats happening? cheers.

Diesel or petrol? I presume diesel.
I presume you have a fuel cut-off solenoid? Is this cutting off properly? It's not jammed/blocked?

if its diesel, then on the drivers side of the motor, back from the primer pump, you will see a rod a few inches long, this is attached to the edic motor (the bit that controls the fuel, kinda).
where the rod attaches to it, there is a small arm, that has 3 positions (forward, middle and back).
you want to push this arm back towards the cab and hold it there a moment till the engine shuts down.
cheap fix for this problem, disconect the rod and run a piece of wire from the arm to the inside of the cab (there is a hole in the firewall in just the right spot). to shutdown the engine, just pull on this wire from the drivers seat.

My reverse light switch (side of gearbox) had a short in it causing the engine fuse to blow. That stopped the injector pump cutting out and i just stalled the car til i worked it out. Hope that helps.

Check and then re-check all your earths mate, install a new one from the engine to the body and from the neg battery terminal to the body if need be also same thing happened to me ages ago.
