Mine:

Mine hides a chassis extension.

When building the bar make sure you're not killing your approach angle and also make sure the bar doesnt just become a giant lever on the chassis in an impact.

I will be making mine soon and this is a handy thread.
Thanks to those who posted examples and razza101 for starting it.

I have pipe bender and the welder already,
Other jobs have higher priority though.

mine is 40x40x3 rhs mounted in the end of the chassis rails. You will see there is 2 holes in the chassis rail i used them and notched out the rhs where it has the round pipe crossmember on the zook chassis.

others just use a bit of flat bar and pick up off one side of the rail.Hope this helps, too dark to get pics.Have you gotten rid of the pipe where the standard bumper mounts yet?Probably will if you have gone bigger tyres

this is how i mounted mine.
bashed some pipe into the front chassis rail
Image
made a plate to fit over the chassis rail
Image
Image
tied the plate into the body mount and the chassis
Image
then made another plate to tie into the bar.
Image
i reckon that the problem with just using the chassis is the bolts are too close together
and the bar will easily rotate from impacts or winching stresses. making the body mount a part of the bar mount makes it very strong.

I would jump on AZ and have a look at a few of the bars the guys are selling over there. very clean looking and very strong.

If your not into tube bars, these are pretty robust!
