Will 37" MTRs clear???

What I want to know is will 37 x 12.5 inch MTRs clear springs and steering etc at full lock on 15x 8 inch sunrasias with Land cruiser offset.
Will be on a SASed hilux running high steer and rear springs up front.
If they do fit I will just use spacers to get a bit more width in comps and offroad fun but can run them without spacers on road to keep the police attention to as little as posible
(I wont be daily driving on them though).
But if someone tells me that I will have clearance probs then I will get the rims cut, offset and rewelded.
I recon being only 12.5 wide I should be OK.

Hi buddy i recon you'll have some issues with the tyre
rubbing on the spring
I run 36in swampers on my hilux and they rub on the spring
just before full lock so the spacers may be a good investment
But you can adjust the thingys on your swivel hubs so they
dont scrub but you'll have stuff all steering lock to lock

Should clear the springs but it will rub the steering box and also the back of the firewall on full compresion and full lock. This is if the spring set up is not to stiff.

Clear what?
My axle used to be forward 5" and 38" Claws still rubbed the firewall at full lock full stuff and also hit the steering box. If the springs flex then nothing is going to stop it from rubbing one end or the other.
Im now running 38" tsls and the firewall has been tubed and with the axle 2" forward it doesnt rub the firewall but it still rubs the steering box.

I was planning on doin that to get a bit of clearance of the firewall.
What Im trying to work out is will I need more offset on my wheels to clear the other stuff
So Tony do you reckon I will need more offset than the standard LC sunnys?
I would just like to not have the Lux not look too obviously illegal
So for weekend runs without too much hardcore stuff I would like to run without spacers and then just chuck them on when hardcore stuff/comps are on the books.
But if you say they will rub lots with standard offset I may as well get the rims cut, flipped and rewelded with less back spacing.
What sort of offset/backspacing will I need to clear?

Ok the prob is the further out you space the wheel from the swivel hub the larger the scrub radius becomes so the wheel turns in a larger arc. Which then causes it to hit the rear of the guard easier. But the more you bring the wheel towards the swivel hub the more the tyre then rubs the spring.
Im running standard 4" BS rims at 15/10 and it does rub my spring slightly but it isnt too bad. The more the rim sits out the harder the power steer has to work as well.

OK mate so what you are saying is there is a fine balance between too much and too little offset
.
By my crude measurements just then out in the shed I think my 15x8 sunrasia rims have 3 and a half inch backspace (from mounting surface to back of rim) does that sound right?
Sorry if I sound like a bit of a pain in the ass but I want to buy my tyres and build the lux to suit and I dont want to fawk things up and find I need to mod my rims after I have the tyres and second air beadlocks mounted up.
