Im currently in the build up of a lwb sierra its a 90 model maruti that had the f10a in it.
I have since swapped all the running gear out for wide track sierra stuff and a g16a.
When i set the engine mounts up i bolted the gear box mount up then welded the engine mounts in to get the right position. The problem now is that the jackshaft is 22mm to long give or take a mm and none of the mounts line up.

Does anyone know if the maruti jackshafts are shorter than a wide track one?

cheers jesse

I thought they were the same, but its been a while since Ive had a stocker. It would'n cost much to get cut.

If the gearboxes are physically the same size and you bolted the gearbox up first to line up the motor mounts then wouldnt the distance for the jackshaft be exactly the same?

Im about the put a Gti motor into my 1ltr Maruti so im interested in how your problem came about.

The maruti engine mounts and gear box mounts sit 20mm further back effectively needing a shorte Jack shaft if you use the one in the car you won't have a problem
