Just some maruti tech for people who don't know.
I have discovered that a maruti 1ltr jackshaft is approximately 20mm shorter than a standard 1.3 litre jackshaft and the gear box cross member is also 20mm further back to compensate for this which means the engine sits further towards the fire wall
Also a maruti has 1.3 narrow track drive shaft flanges
this info I'd for a n/t model and mine is a 1990 model I'm not sure if this is the same for a w/t maruti
Feel free to ad to this it may help someone out

Is your crossmember above or under your front driveshaft?
90's wt maruti's had them ontop, so you can't lift your transfer..
All Sierra's had them under. I run a 2" transfer lift so my jackshaft is level.

mine is a 96 maruti and you cant lift the transfer more than 1 1/4 inches or the front shaft hits on the g/box crossmember.
also, the yoke on the t/shafts and the g/box is the same as 1.3 but the flange bolt pattern is different.
Also the rear brake hose is longer than a swb by a fair bit. fronts are the same.
radiator mounts are also different to a 1.3, but you can fit a 1.3 radiator by drilling new holes in the radiator for the bolts and removing the lower drip tray.
Bonnet stick holder thing is also mounted in a different location and is shorter, but 1ltr one can be used.
The vent holes in the 1ltr plastic dash are perfect size for speco/autometer gauges.
that is all...
