Hi there,
I have a marks adaptors kit fitted to a series IIB forward control land rover.(stay with me) It uses an Isuzu 3.9l diesel fitted to a nissan cabstar 5 speed gearbox, to a rover transfer case. The gearbox has been damaged when the engine has been re-fitted after a re-build (it's never ending) basically, 3rd gear has jammed on the shaft, along with the synchro ring. With the back wheel jacked up, engine running, in what should be neutral, the back wheel still has drive. If anyone has the specs or a manual for this gearbox, (or even drawings of how it goes together) I would be really grateful. Marks adaptors don't carry the info. Apparently, this gearbox was fitted to Cabstars from 1970-1990 with the ED-30, ED-33, SD-27 and SD-27T motors.
Cheers,
Bob

I THINK this gearbox is similar internally to the MQ 4speed. You might be able to use an exploded diagram for this gearbox to help out.. ??

A USA guy on this forum has the Cabstar parts CD from the UK. It should have exploided diagrams of all the Cabstar gear boxes. As well as part numbers....

He sent me a copy but I can't get it to work on my pc
