Is there much difference between H3 and H7 bulbs. I was looking at gettin Spotties with h3 lamps and can get a H7 HID conversion kit for a good price. What would be required? Otherwise would I have to get H3 HID lamps too?

H7 style globes have a different plug, and base. they're two pin as they are designed for later polycarbonate head lights.
H7's are mainly found in late model cars with dual beam head lights like BA-BF falcons Dunnydores etc. they arn't interchangeable with a H3.

H3 and H1 have the same base the only difference is the H1 has a male spade on the back of the globe where a H3 has a tail (wire) with a spade pin on it.

You could use the ballasts etc, but you'd have to get different globes
