LS1 gmv info

Just tring to find the heaviest ls1 and 4l60 car made by holden and what the gmv is for the engineer. having issues trying to find this info.

any help would be appreciated

be the calais i rekon...

the cross 8 utes and wagons ran the 5.7 but ran the 4L80e, that would be the heaviest car they make.

I don't believe this to be correct. I was of the understanding that no Commodore based vehicles came with the 4l80e. Possibly the slightly beefier 4l65e, but I'm happy to be proven wrong because chances are it would be a cheap source of otherwise expensive transmissions.

I think that the chev silverado 1500 ran a 4l60e but not 100%. i know the 2500 went to a 4l80.

Also pretty sure the cross8 was still a 4l60. What about the holden 1 tonner?

redbook gives GVM for vehicles be your best bet.

thanks guys

red book sorted it out the engineer wants the GMV of the car the engines coming out of to be not less than 120kg than the car its going into.

I had the figure for the vy one tonner as 2826 which was correct but the figure i had for the 2.8 gu was at 2960 but the redbook had it back down 2900, so i should be right!

yer i remember looking into an LS1, its half the weight of my 4.2 1HZ, how goods that lol.
