I have a gq shorty with a 5 inch lift. Im having cronic problems with me tail sharft. its got tha normal uni cardinle at tha diff end and a hilux double cardinle at tha transfer end and in tha little time or 6 months tha double cardinle has brockn 2 times. just wont to know if any one out there has some advise or other idears

From what i remember you can use a high pinion from the front and fitt nit in the rear, but you need to change the side gears.
Double cardins are good for vibration issues but are no where as strong as a normal uni.
This is why you may have to go for a high pinion without the double cardin.
Also make sure your pinion angles are all good.

I just did a high pinion rear.
Used a front diff centre and fitted the rear LSD centre to it.
My diff man said it needed some very minor machining.
Cost me $200.00 to buy two complete diffs plus two diffs minus centres.
It cost another $200.00 to do the machining, fit new bearings and seals and fit the centre.
Went straight in and there's no whine on overrun.
All round I felt it was good value.
My drive shaft angles dropped from over 15degrees to around 7degrees which will see my joints last a whole lot longer.
By purchasing diffs I still have my original (tight) rear that I can re-instal any time I wish.
