Havent seen it recently but I thought it was a TD42, big pump and turbo. Bidders will know they are old competative rivals.

TD42, balanced blue printed motor
JPC injectors
JPC pump
JPC turbo
4" snorkle
JPC cylinder head coolant bypass
Also Dave Hickman down geelong way ( I think he has 4wd shop) well he does most of the work on this truck at the moment.

I think its well over 30 psi, and the turbo specs no one will ever divluge this information if you want the turbo specs, bu the Turbo that JPC specs may cost a little more but saves you in the long run.
Also a little no point recommending place to call for info 99% the time they wont give it to you purely for tyre kicker purposes.

the more you spend the better your results will be.

My 200 kW TD 42 cost me without paying for my own labour (and I did all the assembly and fabrication, fitment ect)over 20k. Ceramic coatings, machining, turbo, pump, intercooler, camshaft, rods, valve springs, and the list goes on.
It's not the vehicle that makes Trent competative it's Trent. Like Pete Milhaleoff (sorry about spelling Pete) Bidders, Huddy, Barry S, Ben Russel and others who are just bloody good operators.

Dave had a shop at Ocean Grove, but that closed about 2-3 years ago.
Last I heard he was working with Trent in the Leen family Demolition business.

Thats where I last seen them both.
As for Trents car I think the fuel pump is off an Ocean liner. I dont think there is any other car that competes that pumps out so much chaff.
Its got me buggered how they used to go so well at the Alpine with a two car the team. As his team mates would never be able to see where they were going.

It is not all about horsepower. It is a huge combination of winch, navi, driver and reliability. I would not waist money trying to squeeze as much horsies out of a TD4.2. Just a good turbo, intercooler and fuel it up. There are plenty of people that have pushed there TD4.2 and blown them that have gone to bigger horse power V8,s.
Laurie Sternbeck was winning comps with a hilux running a 4 cylinder Turbo diesel. No power there just a good navi and driver combo and a reliable car. He only went to the lexus V8 when his little choofa through a leg.

That true. No point in having 200rwkw's if you cant put it to the ground. Was talking a go that does the vic stuff and he said he was scoring better times when a spring came off the waste gate and he had no boost.
Also Huddy just won Rd1 of the Engel series with a 4.2 Carby GQ.

the spectators dont usualy know who is in what placing...
they love the action, the noise, the carnage..
it could be a dirty old FJ40, with no mods or technology to help it, but put a big noisy V8 in it (even though that wont help it climb trees) the crouds will run to see it cause of the awsome noise.
