Hi,

I have been looking for some tie down straps on the net,

I have used pull down straps before but they come loose, just looking for some options before going away this weekend.

My setup is, Engle 40 litre fridge and its on a black widow draw system with slide setup.

I have looked at the turn buckle setup however heard mixed reviews, im not wanting something permanent however i do want something easy to setup and not move around for long trips but the fridge doesn't live in the back.

They do not come loose

been using these for years and they work fine.
You check them every morning, and live happily ever after.

My Eva Kool sits between 3 Eye Bolts on homemade draws. One pull tight tie down between 2 eys andaround one handle twice. So thats motor end secured in 2nds and other end has a few cable ties straight from third eyelit to fridge handle. Cut one cable tie and replace one on refit. Fridge in and out in seconds. Used the same for 8 yrs and many many kms around the country on and offroad. May sound bodge but works very well.

I use heavy duty, single rubber Okey straps, two at each end, works a treat and very easy to remove.

I use rope to tie down the front of my fridge.

At the rear, where it's a little tricky to tie knots, I have a length of the same rope, tied to a small shackle at one end and a small turnbuckle at the other. Rope runs through two tie-downs on the slide, shackle connects to one side of fridge handle, turnbuckle to the other side. The small amount of stretch in the rope dampens out vibrations - I've never had the turnbuckle come loose, so I don't bother with a locking nut.

The shackle is another issue - I need to tighten it every couple of trips.
