as far as i know you cant run 15's on an 80 because of the brakes.
minimum is 16''
if your tyre is 15.5 inches wide i'd be going a 16x10 inch rim

pre 94 run the smaller brakes, if it is an early 80 then 15s will fit

Pre Aug 93 is ok, if they came with 15's, once FZJ version hit the streets they came with bigger brakes, and the rear calipers stop 15's fitting.
Pro Comp will probably have some in stock, and I looked at Convo Pro's a while ago, for a polished alloy easy to look after finish, rather than silver or black powdercoat, but couldnt get 16 x 10 at the time.
Ended up using xchrome Pro Comp 99 series instead.

Ive run 15 x 10's on my 94 80 series. Steel rims are thinner than alloys. And 15 x 10 (neg 44's) used with a spacer plate fits fine.
As said its only the rear that doesnt clear. Not the front like most people assume.

in my 60s ive ground the outside face of the rear caliper and can fit 15x8's
NOTE, I DONT SUGGEST DOIN THIS FOR A ROAD CAR.
although were it is ground its only a solid block of cast steel, i cant see it breaking and have know of people doing this with out fault also.
ive only takin off just enough to fit the rim, as i needed to move the car and dont have 16s yet.
15's fit fine on the front. ive got the bigger brake front and rear.
ill be looking a 16x10 inch rims to fit on soon.
dan.
