G'day quick question I know that MAF sensors don't like oiled filters so would it be possible to put it before the filter? Or is a little bit of dust worse than the oil vapour from the filter? I'm making a new airbox and it was just a thought I had.
It's for a LS1.

They are usually very delicate items and I would be concerned about both dust and oil.

I figured as much. I'll just take my chances with the oil and eventually get a mafless tune so i can get rid of the maf altogether.

I believe he's talking about oiled air filters, and the theory that oil comes off them.

K&N have published a study which claims theirs don't give off oil (when oiled correctly) - but of course, they would.

I don't know about other brands of oiled filters.
