well as far as i know an SX is stronger in consruction with dual steel belts under the tread and side lugs in turn making it a stiffer tyre the SX also has side bites and the tsl dose not

sx the tread is more aggressive and wraps 3-4 inches down the side of the tyre, the sx seem to be fatter in there sizing aswell

The SX has the side tread - the TSL does not.
SX is heavier, and more puncture resistant (and more side wall protection). Tread is slightly shallower on the SX,
TSL is slightly bigger diameter...

36x12.5...
SX 22/32 depth, 35.9" high, 13.3" wide
TSL 24/32 depth, 36.3" high, 13.5" wide

Check out...

weights from off various boards around the net so don't take them as gospel:

38x12.5 TSL = 32kg
38x12.5 SX = 39kg
37x13 Bogger = 35kg
39.5 Bogger = 52kg
37x12.5 MTR = 30kg

I thought the SX was made from a softer compound than the TSL? I know the SX do wear faster than the TSL...

Is this because they are heavier and have slightly less tread to begin with :?:
