Engine mounts

Post by Newhouse »

Hi everyone!

Can anyone point me in the right direction to anyone who can make control arm bush type engine mounts for a LS1 into GQ? I want them to be made without the car going to a shop.

Thanks in advance.

They are very easy to make.....

Ive made them a few times on my old rigs.

Just a round tube the size of the bush, weld some 32NB to it and what ever legnth is required and weld it and brace it to the existing engine chassis plate. pop your push in and your sweet.

The engine side i just had a plate bolted to the motor with a piece of 'C' section welded to it with a hole through it to pop your bolt through....

I would imagine most blokes that can do the job for you would want to have the truck brought to them as they will need their welders and other equipment to make them....

Cheers Screwy,

I can make them its just the time to do it. If I can get everything here and ready I should be able to get it in and pretty much complete in a weekend minus the exhaust.
